Pinocchio

In the story Pinocchio, which part of the story did you enjoy most and why?
How did Pinocchio get his name?

What was Rosa, the little elephant searching for throughout the story? Why did the zoo keeper decide to find Rosa a new home?

Listen carefully to the story and discover how four animal friends, la cerva
(female deer), la tartaruga (the tortoise), il topolino (the mouse) and il corvo (the crow) help to free one another from the dangers of a hunter in the forest. The four inseparable friends are freed and live happily ever after in their habitat.

Ziggy, the zebra is covered with many little fleas, no matter what he does he can’t get rid of these annoying mini beasts. Pick and Peck, his bird friends come to the rescue and eat all the fleas. Ziggy thanks his friends for helping him out.

In Italy, La Befana is a female Santa Claus who delivers gifts to the children on the eve of the 6th of January each year. Children who have been good receive a special gift in their Christmas stocking, however, children who have been not so good receive soot or rotten potatoes in their stocking.     My favourite part of the story was when Pinocchio saved Geppetto’s life. This was my favourite part because Pinocchio proved to the blue fairy to be brave, truthful and unselfish and this allowed him to become a real boy. The wood carver Geppetto thought his puppet looked like a real boy so he decided to name him Pinocchio. From Rachel

    I learnt that it is almost the same as Australia except I think It is a tiny bit bigger in Italy.
